GLUTEN FREE SCORE 5/5 Sushi Note is an INCREDIBLE omakase place tucked into a small block of Ventura Blvd. The fish was insanely fresh, artfully curated, and so delicious. As someone who is gluten free, this place was amazing! I let the server know, they brought me my own tamari (gluten free soy sauce) dish, and they did a fantastic job marking which plate was mine. I was able to enjoy the full "Full Note" omakase experience, sans the regular soy sauce! I was so shocked at how easily they were able to accommodate my allergy. Would definitely go here again!

Phenomenal sushi in a chic boutique space in Sherman Oaks. Definitely a special occasion spot as it's on the pricier side, but totally worth it! SPICY TUNA BISCOTTI - 5+ Stars. Their version of spicy tuna crispy rice, done perfectly. The rice is crisp and the spicy tuna so rich and delicious. BLACK COD - 5+ stars. Phenomenal! Light yet flaky fish, marinated perfectly. I wanted to order a second order after devouring the first but held back. SALMON & AVOCADO ROLL - 5 Stars. A classic done so well! Service was excellent! You're gifted a shot of sparkling rosé upon being seated which was quite charming. Always had cold water at the table, and always someone nearby to help. Wine and sake list were great as well. Bonus, I got a metered spot right across the street at 7:15pm on a Tuesday, yay!

Incredible omakase experience. We opted for the full note menu for $150/pp, but they also have a half note option for $80/pp. Highly, highly recommend the wine pairing with their in house sommelier. It was worth every penny. Top 5 omakase places in LA for sure!

Came here for a fairly priced omakase. I think the room is dimmed for ambience and it becomes a nice date spot unless you are trying to sit at the bar and watch the chefs at work. It was very interesting talking with the head chef about his childhood and the meaning behind all the props behind the wall. The food came out to be only mediocre compared to most omakase places, but for the price I'm not sure I would come back. I would still give this place a 8/10 just because of the experience and talking with the head chef. It's a nice experience, but something I was ok living without. Their mackerel is the highlight of my dinner :)

The perfect date night spot! - - A M B I A N C E / S E R V I C E - - We made reservations for dinner here and the lights were dimmed, candles were lit, not too loud...the perfect spot for an intimate date night. The waiters were all so sweet and knowledgable. Service was prompt and they were just so on top of things. There was a perfect amount of checking up on us versus letting us enjoy our dinner the whole time - - D I N N E R - - We got the whole note along with a glass of wine each. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of rose once we were seated. The meal was nicely paced and a lot! Things started off great with the edamame and miso soup. We also got a lemon sorbet to clean our palates before starting off with our sushi. Every piece was so delicious and just melted in our mouths. The flavors of the garnish were all so delicate and tasteful. There was a smear of wasabi in almost all of our sushi pieces, which I loved. If you're not a big wasabi fan, this is something you could maybe talk to the chefs about. Overall, everything was great! I think I'd go with the half note next time because that was just a little too much food for us and then just order extra of our personal favorites if needed.

This is our favorite treat yourself date spot. We usually get the whole note with the wine pairing and it's always just right. We love how knowledgeable the sommeliers are and how they take time to tell you about the wine, the maker, and how it pairs with the next course. It's a nice slow dining experience. All of the pieces are good but we always end up ordering an extra bite of the scallop with truffle salt. Be sure to make a reservation and give yourself a lot of time to find parking.

My husband really wanted to take me somewhere nice for our anniversary and he really wanted good sushi/sashimi. This was such a great spot for a date night because of the lighting and ambiance inside. It's nice and not too bright which sets the mood. Our amazing waitress gave us some suggestions on what to eat. We almost ordered the whole menu but she told us to pace ourselves. We started off with some edamame, miso soup and miso mushroom soup. They were so good! Then we got a few spicy tuna rolls and some spicy tuna biscotti that I couldn't stop eating! The hamachi note and the scallop carpaccio were so fresh that they just melted in your mouth!! I was so stuffed by the end but no food was left behind. Needless to say, I will definitely be back!

Delicious sushi and beautiful interior. Complimentary rosé as soon as seated. Very nice. We opted to skip the omakase and just order a bunch of different items from their menu. Everything was high quality but nothing struck me as being superior to other sushi restaurants I frequent.
